Ever since the tragic CT shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary, gun sales been picking up very steadily. Until Senator Feinstein utter these words at a interview.
“I’m going to introduce in the Senate and the same bill will be introduced in the House, a bill to ban assault weapons. It will ban the sale, the transfer, the importation and the possession. Not retroactively but prospectively. And it will ban the same for big clips, drums or strips of more than 10 bullets. So there will be a bill. We’ve been working on it now for a year,” Feinstein said on NBC’s “Meet The Press” during a discussion about guns following Friday’s deadly mass shooting as a Connecticut school.
Soon after, there was a mad feverious rush to buy up all AK47/74 and AR15 in local stores to online websites in fear of pending Assault weapons ban. Everywhere the semi-automatic rifles are sold out including 30+ rd magazines and all caliber of ammunition rounds. A previous assault weapons ban was passed before in 94 before expiring 10 yrs later and California and other states already have limits to 10 rds per magazines. Fear of permenant ban is fueling this scare.
I don't blame them. The CT shootings are different from other shootings. The main fact that majority of the dead were 6-7 yrs of age and universally condemned. So horrific that many are convinced that the ban will pass. SGammo.com, Sportsmen Guide, Centerfire Systems, AIM, Freedommunitions, Natches, The Armory, and many more are completely sold out on AKs, AR15s, high capacity magazines, and all calibers of ammunitions. And this is within a few days.
And many more distributors are completely exhausted of their supplies for weeks or many months to come.
